Netanyahu Says Israel Faces War on Seven Fronts

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that nearly a year after Hamas’s October 7 attacks on Israel, the country is now engaged in conflict on seven different fronts.

In a video statement released on Saturday, Netanyahu identified the threats Israel is facing:

  • Hezbollah in the north, backed by Iran
  • Hamas in Gaza
  • The Houthis in Yemen
  • “Terrorists” in the West Bank
  • Shiite militias in Iraq and Syria

Additionally, Netanyahu emphasized the direct involvement of Iran, which he said recently launched over 200 ballistic missiles at Israel. He claimed Iran is the key player behind this multi-front war.

He also reiterated his commitment to altering the power dynamics between Israel and Lebanon, where Hezbollah has been targeting Israel with rockets, missiles, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) since October 8 of last year.

Regarding Gaza, Netanyahu stressed that Israel has the right to defend itself and expressed his commitment to securing the release of the 101 hostages, vowing to use all available resources to bring them home.

Netanyahu aimed French President Emmanuel Macron and other leaders calling for arms embargoes on Israel, saying, “Shame on them.”

“Israel will continue to fight until victory is achieved — for the sake of our nation and global peace and security,” Netanyahu concluded.

The ongoing clashes with Iran-backed groups, such as Hezbollah and the Houthis, have intensified since Hamas’s initial attack. These groups claim their actions are in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza, where Israel’s military actions have caused significant casualties and a humanitarian crisis.
